8 Tips to sell more with Wave Cam

Tips for sucess using the surf phography platform Wave Cam.

1 - Post within 24 hours

Our data shows photographers sell more when they upload within 24hours after the surf session captured.

2 -  Show up often in the surf spot

Showing up often to the surf spot will help you to get noticed by the surfers and they will get to know you and will be interested to check your photos. Therefore the more high quality photos you produce, the bigger your earnings will be.

3 -  Offer Progressive Discount

Offering progressive discounts is a very effective way to attract potential clients, as it encourages them to purchase more photos.
It’s important to calculate in advance how much discount you can offer without undervaluing your work. Not offering any discounts at all may result in lost sales, while excessive discounts can reduce the perceived value of your photography.
To set up discounts, go to the Settings. On this page, you can add discount rules and immediately shows you the example of how much you would get.

4 - Give priority to good swell days

Good swell, and good weather are gold mines. Our data shows that photographers usually sell the most on the good days.

5 - Light is your best friend for golden shots

When the sun/light is shining on the surfers, the quality goes to the roof! Take that opportunity and go all in!

Always have a business card with you to give to surfers.
